O&M Wind Turbine Technician

Responsibilities

• Climb wind turbines up to 130m to perform diagnostic testing, installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs
• Perform scheduled maintenance including inspection, greasing, cleaning, and torquing of bolted connections
• Conduct electrical and hydraulic troubleshooting
• Apply LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) procedures
• Complete reports, checklists, hazard analyses, and work orders
• Maintain parts and consumables inventory
• Support the site On-Call Program on weekends
• Follow all Health and Safety policies to maintain a zero-incident workplace

Requirements

• Live within a 1-hour commute from Muirkirk, Ontario
• 2 years minimum Gamesa G97 troubleshooting experience OR 3 years minimum Vestas V90 troubleshooting experience
• Strong organizational skills
• High computer literacy with M365 applications
• Ability to maintain required certifications (Fall Protection/Rescue, LOTO, First Aid/CPR/AED)

Preferred Qualifications

• 3 years of Wind Industry experience
• Experience with annual and semi-annual maintenance
• Skills in base bolt tensioning, oil changes, and retrofits
• Experience in blade/fiberglass repair and major component exchange
• Knowledge of transformer and substation maintenance
• Borescope training
