O&M Field Technician

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot daily project system issues, including inverters, switchgear, transformers, breakers, and communications equipment, to meet uptime goals.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance, start-up tests, and equipment inspections according to established schedules.
• Monitor hourly production output targets and execute corrective plans if production is at risk.
• Identify potential system problems and suggest corrective actions or improvements to performance and cost.
• Collaborate with maintenance team members, subcontractors, and cross-functional departments to resolve plant issues.
• Complete CMMS work orders in their entirety and prepare documentation for material procurement and vendor services.
• Assist with project commissioning, testing, and the development of standard operating documents.
• Supervise subcontractors and adhere to all health, safety, and company policies.

Requirements

• 2-5+ years of hands-on experience in field work.
• Proven experience troubleshooting and repairing various types of electrical machinery and equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, schematics, drawings, manuals, and specifications.
• Valid driver's license.
• Fluency in English (written and verbal communication).
• Willingness to work outside normal business hours, including nights and weekends, to respond to emergencies.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a renewable energy environment (Solar, wind, or similar).
• NABCEP Certification.
