Oilfield Dispatcher

Responsibilities

• Planning routes and accommodating route changes as needed
• Communicating with customers about load details, delivery/pickup times, and special handling requests
• Prioritizing calls according to need and concern while complying with legal and safety requirements
• Coordinating drivers' schedules, units, trailers, and loads
• Monitoring transportation regulations and laws to ensure driver compliance
• Tracking the route and status of units on the ground to coordinate schedules
• Purchasing accurate trucking, county, and state permits as needed

Requirements

• Proven experience in trucking, logistics, or oilfield operations
• Proficiency with basic software and ability to learn dispatching/tracking systems
• Ability to multitask and make rapid decisions in high-pressure environments
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of DOT related regulations, procedures, and guidelines
• Proficiency in English (oral and written)
• Outstanding organizational and multitasking abilities
• Sound judgment and critical thinking
