Oil Broker

Responsibilities

• Promote FIS and provide market intelligence and analysis to clients
• Arrange trades via voice broking on behalf of clients for execution at relevant exchanges
• Create liquidity and price discovery with exchanges, liquidity providers, and prop traders
• Maintain and enhance existing client relationships through regular contact and tracking of trading activities
• Identify and seize new business opportunities related to market trends and new products
• Produce daily and weekly market price and direction updates for international desks
• On-board new clients following strict Compliance and Operations procedures
• Adhere to all regulatory, exchange, and clearing house requirements and internal risk policies

Requirements

• Proven experience as a broker covering commercial clients in financial markets
• Deep understanding of price risk management
• Strong knowledge of oil products, markets, and derivatives
• Excellent analytical and numeracy skills with high attention to detail
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other IT systems
• Strong communication skills with a personable and engaging approach to relationship building
• Ability to thrive in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment
• Degree in Economics or a related field is preferred
• CISI Regulations & Derivatives exams are preferred
