Oil and Gas Land Agent

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact between the client and key stakeholders to manage the acquisition and negotiation of real property rights.
• Negotiate easements, leases, fee property, permits, and other agreements for energy projects.
• Work with landowners to understand development limits, access, and site considerations.
• Examine and search public records to determine land ownership and title chains.
• Analyze local land values to develop acquisition offer ranges and damage payment assessments.
• Document all communication with landowners using Microsoft Office applications.
• Represent the client in meetings with various government and agency officials.

Requirements

• Associate's degree and at least 2 years of land services experience in the Oil and Gas or energy industry.
• Strong knowledge of real estate principles.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and mapping platforms like Google Earth.
• Ability to research and interpret legal documents and abstracts.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple tasks in both office and field environments.
• Willingness to travel and work flexible hours.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience specifically with capital projects, operations, and pipeline infrastructure development.
• Proven ability to negotiate complex land-related issues and rights.
