About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide tactical support to fabrication and paint departments by responding to quality issues in a shop floor environment
  • Validate, investigate, contain, and resolve quality non-conformances within the production process
  • Use production quality data to identify projects, execute short-term containment, and drive long-term corrective actions
  • Lead quality planning discussions, including risk analysis, mitigation, control plans, and dimensional analysis
  • Participate in Continuous Improvement (CI) processes to improve safety, quality, efficiency, and cost reduction
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and product design to drive inherent quality into processes and products

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or Weld Engineering (or equivalent related experience)
  • Technical aptitude in welding, machining, automation, and assembly
  • Experience with root cause analysis, NCCA, PFMEA, corrective action, or mistake proofing
  • Ability to gather, analyze, and summarize trend data to make sound decisions
  • Knowledge of GD&T and drawing/schematic interpretation
  • Ability to work flexible hours to support variable shift production operations

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of quality, manufacturing, or operations experience in fabrication or paint operations
  • Hands-on experience with quality tools such as FMEA, Control Plans, PPAP, DMAIC, Six Sigma, and 8D Problem Solving
  • Proficiency with data analytics tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or SQL
  • Experience with automation or robotics projects
