Offshore Wind Farm Operator

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate the safe and efficient transfer of personnel and equipment to offshore sites via marine vessels and helicopters
• Monitor turbine status and respond to alarms using SCADA systems to maximize generation
• Establish access parameters by monitoring weather, sea, and light conditions to make safe "go/no-go" decisions
• Coordinate marine traffic and vessel movements on the pontoon to streamline mobilization and demobilization
• Monitor all vessel and personnel movements using Personnel Tracking (PTS) and Vessel Tracking Systems (VTS)
• Conduct High Voltage (HV) switching operations and coordinate with the National Control Center when required
• Initiate and coordinate project emergency response procedures (ERP) as needed
• Maintain detailed records of daily activities, vessel usage, and weather conditions

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• 3+ years of experience in a marine coordination or control room operator role
• Knowledge of SCADA or Marine Control systems
• Experience with VHF radio telecommunication systems
• Knowledge of applicable marine, aviation, and port regulations
• Proficiency in MS Office
• Ability to gain authorization under High Voltage Safety Rules
