Responsibilities

  • Provide operational support for the deployment, recovery, and repair of a North Pacific pilot fleet
  • Operate, maintain, and repair offshore mechanical equipment including hydraulics, pneumatics, winches, and prime movers
  • Participate in cross training with other disciplines such as communications and electronics
  • Train other team members on the systems and operations you own
  • Work alongside engineering to commission and test new equipment
  • Collaborate with engineering to improve existing and develop new means for offshore operations
  • Travel abroad to train crews internationally on novel operations

Requirements

  • Experience working offshore for extended periods
  • Hands-on experience operating and repairing industrial equipment in marine, offshore, or military environments
  • Willingness to lead training and participate in inter-discipline training
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the year offshore and 300+ miles offshore
  • Holder of active TWIC or ability to obtain
  • Ability to adhere to and promote a culture of safety

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in fabrication and commissioning of new industrial equipment
  • Experience interfacing with engineering teams
  • Understanding of basic AC and DC electrical theory
  • Exposure to marine communications systems (radio, satellite, networking)
  • Exposure to PLC systems
