Offshore Structural Engineer

Responsibilities

• Review client technical documentation and requirements to define structural design premises
• Contribute to the Project Structural Design Brief, outlining the roadmap for all structural design and analysis work
• Design structural systems and components with a focus on cost optimization, fabrication simplicity, constructability, and safety
• Carry out, check, and supervise complex structural analyses
• Supervise and approve steel structure design drawings and material take-offs (MTO)
• Prepare technical specifications for structural fabrications, including bearing systems, bolts, cladding, and grating
• Verify the structural strength and dynamic behavior of items designed by third parties, vendors, or piping specialists
• Perform field engineering activities and write detailed design reports and calculation notes
• Liaise with other project specialists and designers to ensure successful project completion

Requirements

• 10+ years of professional experience in offshore structural engineering
• Proven expertise as a Hull Specialist
• Proficiency in structural analysis software including Nastran, ABACUS, and NAPA
• Strong command of the English language (Fluent)
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong communication, motivation, and proactiveness

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working on major Oil & Gas projects
