Offshore Installation Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop and evaluate transportation and installation (T&I) execution strategies and equipment requirements to ensure safe and efficient offshore operations
• Provide technical input to contractor qualification activities, Invitation to Tender (ITT) packages, and tender evaluations
• Coordinate with Critical Activity Specialists to apply expertise to project T&I plans, constructability reviews, and project assessments
• Interface with engineering disciplines to align design and analysis with project T&I means and methods
• Monitor Marine Warranty Surveyor (MWS) review of installation plans and procedures to obtain third-party approvals
• Review and approve installation procedures and contractor studies, ensuring compliance with project requirements
• Participate in risk assessments and pre-mobilization reviews to mitigate potential execution risks
• Provide technical support to field teams during execution of T&I activities, assisting with resolution of site queries and vessel management of change forms

Requirements

• 5 - 13 years of prior installation engineering experience
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering with a GPA of 3.5 or above
• Strong understanding of projects and project management processes
• Knowledge of industry codes, standards, and regulatory requirements
• Knowledge of offshore transportation and installation equipment and methods
• Ability to understand complex technical documents and drawings
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills
• Willingness to travel to project sites (e.g., offshore) when needed
• Geographical mobility; willing to travel and relocate globally
