Officer, Student Finance

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance to students and parents regarding financial aid options, application procedures, and eligibility
• Evaluate student need and verify eligibility for financial aid programs
• Monitor student academic progress for continued aid eligibility
• Manage and evaluate the disbursement of financial aid funds in compliance with regulations
• Work with registrar, bursar, and accounting departments to ensure compliance with Title IV funds
• Maintain accurate record keeping and reporting for compliance purposes
• Stay updated on federal and state financial aid policies

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
• Prior financial aid officer experience in a higher education environment
• Extensive knowledge of federal and state financial aid regulations
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) proficiency required
• Strong understanding of scholarships, grants, and financial aid programs
• Proficiency in relevant software and database management
• Ability to work specific shifts: 9 AM-6 PM (3 days) and 10 AM-7 PM (2 days)

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in financial aid
• Experience with Campus Ivy system
