About the role
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and advise registered student organizations, providing guidance on leadership development, risk management, and event planning.
- Facilitate leadership training workshops and educational programs to support student growth and organizational effectiveness.
- Supervise student staff, including hiring, onboarding, scheduling, and performance management for front desk operations.
- Provide administrative support and leadership guidance to student government bodies (GASG and ASULV).
- Support the Summer Orientation, Advising, and Registration (SOAR) program through administrative and operational assistance.
- Manage office operations, including digital engagement strategies, web content management, and mass student communications.
- Oversee compliance and conduct investigations related to student organizations, ensuring adherence to university policies and regulations.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience advising student organizations and facilitating leadership development.
- Knowledge of higher education administration and student engagement best practices.
- Experience supervising and managing student staff.
- Strong organizational, project management, and analytical skills.
- Advanced written and verbal communication abilities.
- Knowledge of fiscal management and administrative best practices.
- Ability to interpret and apply complex university policies and regulations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Higher Education or a related field (or currently pursuing).
- Proficiency in Campus Labs Engage, DocuSign, SLATE, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with web content management systems.
- Knowledge of higher education student programming.
