About the role
Responsibilities
- Oversee administrative operations for the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre Lodge, providing frontline hospitality services to residents.
- Manage accommodation reservations, bookings, and resident check-in/check-out processes using electronic scheduling systems.
- Handle financial tasks including receiving payments (cash/credit), accounting for receipts, and preparing month-end financial reports.
- Manage resident relations by resolving inquiries, booking conflicts, and room assignment issues.
- Oversee Lodge staffing, including payroll submissions, vacation requests, and ensuring adequate coverage.
- Maintain oversight of the facility's physical appearance and coordinate daily resident activities and volunteer programs.
- Respond to emergency situations according to established guidelines to ensure resident safety.
Requirements
- Completion of a 3-year community college program in Hotel Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3 to 4 years of practical and related experience.
- Proficiency in basic bookkeeping and cashiering skills.
- Strong computer and administrative skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and verbal/written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a hotel or hospitality setting.
- Previous experience in a team management or supervisory role.
