About the role

Responsibilities

  • Manage front desk security processes, including driver and visitor sign-ins
  • Answer and route telephone calls professionally and take accurate messages
  • Schedule inbound and outbound freight in compliance with customer and operational requirements
  • Coordinate and verify the accuracy of shipping and receiving documentation
  • Maintain data and records related to all shipping and receiving activities
  • Verify shipping order accuracy and quantities against picking documents
  • Assist in resolving customer discrepancies
  • Oversee the pallet control and exchange program
  • Handle facility AR/AP tasks, vendor invoices, and scanning
  • Run specific customer reports and assist with timekeeping or payroll reporting
  • Provide administrative support for special projects as directed by management

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2-5 years of professional office experience
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications
  • Intermediate typing skills and 10-key by touch capability
  • Experience using shipping software systems, specifically UPS and FedEx
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong time management, multitasking, and customer service abilities
  • Availability to work irregular or extended hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
