About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage front desk security processes, including driver and visitor sign-ins
- Answer and route telephone calls politely and take accurate messages
- Schedule inbound and outbound freight in compliance with customer and operational requirements
- Coordinate, verify, and maintain accuracy for all shipping and receiving documentation
- Gather and maintain data and records related to shipping and receiving activities
- Verify shipping order accuracy and quantities against picking documents
- Assist in resolving customer discrepancies and managing pallet control/exchange programs
- Handle facility AR/AP, vendor invoices, and customer reporting
- Perform general administrative tasks, filing, and scanning as directed by management
Requirements
- High School Diploma
- Strong computer proficiency, specifically with MS Office and advanced Excel skills
- Basic typing skills and familiarity with 10-key data entry
- Experience with shipping software systems, including UPS and FedEx
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work in varying facility conditions (noise, dust, temperature fluctuations)
- Availability to work irregular or extended hours, including nights, weekends, or holidays as needed
