OCI Architect

Responsibilities

• Design and implement enterprise-level Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) solutions aligned with institutional IT strategy.
• Develop comprehensive cloud strategies addressing scalability, compliance, and cost efficiency.
• Monitor and optimize the performance of Oracle Cloud applications and infrastructure to ensure seamless user experiences.
• Design and implement disaster recovery plans using OCI native tools to ensure high availability of critical systems.
• Lead the migration of legacy systems to Oracle Cloud infrastructure, establishing best practices for data migration and integration.
• Collaborate with academic departments, administrative units, and IT teams to understand and meet specific technical requirements.
• Provide technical leadership and expert guidance on leveraging cloud services to enhance research and operational efficiency.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in a Database Administrator (DBA) role.
• Proven expertise in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and related services.
• Hands-on experience applying AI tools to functional business analysis, such as process mapping or workflow automation.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to manage multiple complex projects and priorities effectively.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of higher education IT needs and administrative processes.
• Familiarity with compliance frameworks relevant to higher education environments.
