Ocean Operations Associate

Responsibilities

• Execute booking and documentation processes with clients and carriers
• Perform timely shipment troubleshooting and manage exception escalations
• Collaborate with Account Management and Planning teams to ensure effective end-to-end export processes
• Coach junior specialists on daily operational tasks
• Plan and execute special freight operations, including dangerous goods (DG) and reefer shipments
• Assist Senior Associates with new business implementations, projects, and process improvements
• Contribute to the development of procedures and software capabilities to improve efficiency and regulatory compliance

Requirements

• BA/BS degree
• Minimum 2 years of experience in logistics, freight forwarding, supply chain, ocean carrier operations, or consulting
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle impactful operational challenges

Preferred Qualifications

• Specialized knowledge of ocean freight operations
