Ocean Operations Associate

Responsibilities

• Execute end-to-end shipment movements within regional networks, specializing in Ocean LCL imports and exports.
• Lead business implementation and shipment execution for new clients and opportunities.
• Coordinate day-to-day supply operations including LCL, transload, trucking, and warehouse activities.
• Manage booking and documentation processes with carriers and clients.
• Troubleshoot shipment exceptions and escalate issues to ensure high standards of quality and on-time delivery.
• Analyze subcontractor and carrier performance data to inform management initiatives.
• Implement and test scalable operational procedures to improve efficiency and productivity.
• Act as a subject matter expert and consultant for regional teams, product, and engineering departments.

Requirements

• BA/BS degree.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in logistics, freight forwarding, supply chain, or ocean carrier operations.
• Strong problem-solving capabilities and structured thinking.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• High attention to detail and a client-service mindset.
• Ability to work flexibly, including occasional outside office hours or weekend/night shifts if required.
