Ocean Export Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Supervise staff and manage daily operations for the ocean export department
• Manage workload distribution and ensure efficient freight movement
• Review all quoting activities for LCL and FCL shipments
• Set up new accounts, review SOPs, and update account profiles
• Monitor new account status to ensure high-quality performance and customer service
• Resolve operational problems or assign them to appropriate personnel for follow-up
• Provide support, training, and mentorship to current and new employees
• Maintain 100% compliance with export laws, regulations, and company standards
• Support the sales department as needed to maximize business opportunities

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED (Bachelor's degree preferred)
• 5+ years of ocean export experience in a freight forwarding environment
• 2+ years of experience supervising and developing staff
• Strong knowledge of LCL/FCL and Export Compliance Regulations
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Demonstrated leadership and people management abilities

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using Cargowise software
