Occupational Therapy Assistant

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive assessments to formulate personalized treatment plans within the OTA scope of practice
• Review physician referrals and medical records to identify suitable interventions
• Provide direct patient care using evidence-based interventions and established procedures
• Document assessment results, treatment progress, and patient instructions accurately
• Create written care plans and measurable objectives in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
• Execute personalized treatment programs including therapeutic exercises and adaptive tools
• Maintain communication with patients, caregivers, physicians, and insurance providers
• Complete documentation including progress notes, discharge plans, and incident reports

Requirements

• Graduate degree from a CAPTE-accredited Occupational Therapy assistant program
• Current state of Kansas license
• CPR certification
• Ability to work effectively in an autonomous environment
• Basic PC skills including EMR systems and MS Office
