About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive assessment, intervention, consultation and education services for geriatric and musculoskeletal patients
- Collaborate with inter-professional teams to provide patient-focused care
- Develop and maintain community resource networks
- Provide training and supervision of Occupational Therapy students
- Participate in quality management and research initiatives
- Adapt to cover across various units based on operational needs
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy
- Current registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario (COTO)
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (B Level or C Level) certification
- Experience in musculoskeletal and orthopaedic conditions
- Strong clinical skills in patient goal setting and treatment interventions
- Computer proficiency
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in geriatrics
- Membership with professional associations such as CAOT or OSOT
- ADP Authorizer status
