Occupational Therapist

Responsibilities

• Deliver occupational therapy interventions for adults, including older people, frailty, falls, dementia, MSK, Neuro, medical, and orthopaedic conditions
• Independently hold, prioritize, and manage a caseload
• Provide long-arm advice and supervision where required
• Apply knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act (MCA) to support patients making unwise decisions
• Assess and recommend equipment provision, aids, and adaptations
• Liaise with the multidisciplinary team to ensure patient-centered care

Requirements

• HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist
• Broad clinical experience working with adults across multiple specialties
• Awareness or experience of MCA and decision-making processes
• Basic knowledge of equipment provision and adaptations
• Car driver with access to own vehicle and business insurance
• Ability to work autonomously and manage a varied caseload
