Occupational Therapist - Pain Medicine

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy treatments for pain medicine patients in interdisciplinary multimodal pain therapy settings, both individually and in groups
• Support patients in rebuilding and securing activities of daily living (ADL/IADL)
• Teach strategies such as pacing, load management, energy management, and ergonomics
• Offer intervention-related training including sensorimotor, fine motor skills, and body perception
• Contribute to educational and training components for relapse prophylaxis
• Document treatment progress and goals in a structured, quality-oriented manner
• Collaborate closely within a multiprofessional team of doctors, psychologists, and nursing staff
• Participate in weekly team meetings and case conferences

Requirements

• Completed training or degree in Occupational Therapy
• Ideally experience with chronic pain patients
• Interest in or possession of the additional qualification "Spezielle Schmerzergotherapie"
• High level of social competence, empathy, and organizational talent
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in interdisciplinary teams
