Occupational Therapist (OT)

Responsibilities

• Provide evaluations and treatment interventions within the scope of practice and professional code of ethics
• Deliver rehab services and adhere to established plans of care and documentation requirements
• Assess and evaluate therapeutic, rehabilitative, and functional status
• Participate in patient placement and development of total plans of care
• Use procedures and techniques to produce changes in condition/function consistent with physician plans
• Observe and report patient reactions to treatment and changes in condition
• Maintain and report equipment needs
• Instruct patients in skills and techniques for functional activities and evaluate progress
• Perform routine reexaminations to modify or progress treatment plans

Requirements

• Graduate of an AOTA accredited school with a degree in Occupational Therapy
• Current registration with the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy
• Active Occupational Therapy Certification in the state
• Minimum 2 years of clinical experience, or 1 year in acute care, skilled nursing, or AL/MC
• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs regularly
• Fluency in English

Preferred Qualifications

• Current BLS for HealthCare Providers certification
• Experience evaluating and treating residents with memory impairment
