About the role
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations using standardized and non-standardized assessments
- Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to pediatric developmental and functional needs
- Update plans of care based on clinical progress and client goals
- Provide in-person, clinic-based occupational therapy services to pediatric clients
- Use evidence-based approaches to address fine motor skills, sensory processing, handwriting, self-care, visual-motor integration, executive functioning, and play
- Complete and maintain accurate documentation, including daily session notes, progress reports, evaluations, and discharge summaries
- Communicate with families regarding client progress and recommendations
- Collaborate with other treating therapists to support coordinated care
Requirements
- Master's or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Active DC OTR/L license
- Excellent clinical reasoning, documentation, and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and manage a caseload efficiently
