Occupational Therapist

Responsibilities

• Provide rehabilitation and recovery support to men experiencing mental health challenges
• Support individuals with neuro-cognitive disorders including dementia and challenging behaviors
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to assess needs and develop care plans
• Promote independence and well-being for patients
• Manage safeguarding responsibilities and provide emotional support
• Help individuals access community resources
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to service improvement through reflective practice

Requirements

• HCPC registration
• Degree-level qualification in Occupational Therapy
• Proven experience in adult mental health, ideally in acute or forensic settings
• Strong understanding of the Mental Health Act and risk assessment frameworks
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of an MDT
• Excellent communication, organizational, and prioritization skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in delivering therapeutic interventions and group work in secure environments
