Occupational Therapist

Responsibilities

• Provide safe and timely delivery of front-line OT services across the directorate
• Undertake proactive reviews and assessments to support service improvement and waiting list reduction
• Support triage processes and minimise duplication between health and social care functions
• Work with external care providers to ensure safe, accurate moving and handling practices
• Review and optimise care packages, ensuring best use of equipment and cost-effective support
• Review double-handed care packages to identify opportunities for Single-Handed Care
• Review waking-night care packages
• Provide mutual aid to other OT teams when required
• Deliver high-quality documentation, recommendations, and professional reasoning

Requirements

• HCPC-registered Occupational Therapist
• Strong manual handling experience
• Solid background in adult social care
• Experience completing complex assessments and reviews
• Ability to travel across West Suffolk, Ipswich, and North Suffolk patches
