Occupational Therapist

Responsibilities

• Accept and treat patients within your designated geographic area
• Provide 1:1 treatment
• Evaluate patients and develop individualized treatment plans based on physician orders and patient needs
• Deliver care that aligns with professional standards, agency policies, and the prescribed plan of care
• Educate family members, home health aides, and other caregivers on proper therapy techniques
• Plan and carry out occupational therapy programs to maintain, improve or restore physical function
• Perform and document an initial exam to identify problems and determine a diagnosis
• Provide timely and accurate documentation for each visit
• Evaluate effects of treatment and adjust treatments to achieve maximum benefit
• Treat geriatric patients

Requirements

• Occupational Therapist Program Graduate
• Licensed Occupational Therapist in the state of New Jersey or eligible
• First Aid, AED, and CPR Certifications
• Ability to travel to patients’ homes within the assigned geographic territory
• Strong communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Home health experience
