Occupational Therapist

Responsibilities

• Assess patient performance within hospital or home environments to determine appropriate interventions and treatments
• Promote patient participation and independence through tailored care plans
• Collaborate with patients and families to understand their circumstances and optimize outcomes for discharge
• Contribute to the development and modification of clinical services to meet hospital requirements
• Provide clinical leadership and assist in educating peers and students

Requirements

• Current AHPRA registration as an Occupational Therapist
• Occupational Therapist qualification
• Experience working within a team-based model of care
• Strong communication skills and ability to build rapport with stakeholders and patients

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in an acute hospital setting
• Approximately 1 year of professional experience as an Occupational Therapist
