About the role
Responsibilities
- Assess patient performance within hospital or home environments to determine appropriate interventions and treatments
- Promote patient participation and independence through tailored care plans
- Collaborate with patients and families to understand their circumstances and optimize outcomes for discharge
- Contribute to the development and modification of clinical services to meet hospital requirements
- Provide clinical leadership and assist in educating peers and students
Requirements
- Current AHPRA registration as an Occupational Therapist
- Occupational Therapist qualification
- Experience working within a team-based model of care
- Strong communication skills and ability to build rapport with stakeholders and patients
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in an acute hospital setting
- Approximately 1 year of professional experience as an Occupational Therapist
