About the role
Responsibilities
- Observe and evaluate clients to assist with identifying functional goals and interventions
- Support staff in addressing the evolving needs of clients and providing daily interventions
- Offer training, input, and guidance to the team to promote client independence
- Collaborate with the team to determine effective actions based on client conditions and needs
- Serve as a resource to educate clients, families, and supports about conditions and needs
- Facilitate communication within the team and with external supports including medical and psychiatric services
- Participate in assessments and treatment plan development
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy
- Experience working with adults with mental illness
- Valid Massachusetts driver's license
- Current OTR/L license from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
