Occupational Safety Technician II

Responsibilities

• Ensure full compliance with occupational health and safety legislation
• Support contract compliance with company EHS standards, including Fatality Prevention Programs
• Assist in incident investigations and report preparation
• Analyze accidents, investigate causes, and propose corrective and preventive measures
• Monitor the development and implementation of legal programs such as PPRA, PCMSO, LTCAT, PPR, and PCA
• Manage identified risks and monitor new projects
• Organize annual CIPA and SIPAT meetings according to current labor regulations
• Support the preparation of the Professional Social Security Profile (PPP)
• Conduct safety training and participate in safety meetings and dialogues
• Support the Environment area with internal/external audits, environmental metrics, and Kaizen projects
• Propose occupational safety norms and regulations
• Examine work sites, installations, equipment, and construction projects from a safety perspective

Requirements

• Completed Occupational Safety Technician course (in-person) with MEC-recognized certificate
• Valid registration as a Safety Technician with the Ministry of Labor
• Solid experience working as an Occupational Safety Technician
• Excellent communication, reading, and writing skills in Portuguese
• Ability to give lectures and speak in public

Preferred Qualifications

• Specialization or additional training in Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE)
• English language proficiency
