About the role

Responsibilities

  • Manage and further develop the occupational safety management system in accordance with ISO 45001.
  • Advise and support managers and employees on occupational safety, health protection, and risk assessments.
  • Implement and monitor measures to improve workplace safety and health protection.
  • Plan and conduct safety briefings, site inspections, and both internal and external audits.
  • Analyze workplace accidents and near-misses to develop effective prevention strategies.
  • Collaborate closely with plant management, company doctors, and works councils.
  • Support the implementation of environmental and occupational safety policies and strategic goals.
  • Report regularly on key performance indicators, audit results, and the status of management system measures.
  • Assist with environmental and sustainability topics, including ISO 14001 and carbon footprint reporting.

Requirements

  • Degree in safety engineering, engineering, or a completed vocational training (Master/Technician) with specialized training as an Occupational Safety Specialist.
  • Extensive practical experience in production environments.
  • In-depth knowledge of occupational safety, health protection, and risk assessment.
  • Proven experience in applying and developing management systems according to ISO 45001.
  • Experience in planning and conducting audits.
  • Proficiency in standard IT systems and ideally safety management software (e.g., Quentic).
  • Fluency in both German and English.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of environmental or energy management systems.
  • Additional qualifications in internal auditing or fire protection.
