Occupational Safety Specialist

Responsibilities

• Manage operational safety tasks in accordance with § 5 ASiG and DGUV V2
• Develop and continuously improve corporate safety strategies and concepts
• Conduct risk assessments for workplaces, tasks, and operational processes
• Perform regular safety inspections and track implementation of corrective measures
• Advise on the technical safety approval of metalworking machinery and equipment
• Ensure certification compliance according to DIN EN ISO 45001
• Act as a central point of contact for management, employees, and external contractors regarding safety issues
• Organize and lead safety training, information sessions, and instruction events
• Communicate with accident insurance carriers and regulatory authorities

Requirements

• Completed training as an Occupational Safety Specialist (Fachkraft für Arbeitssicherheit)
• In-depth knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and management systems (including ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 50001, and EMAS)
• Strong conceptual, organizational, and structured working skills
• High level of communication skills, assertiveness, and persuasiveness
• High degree of self-motivation, flexibility, and willingness to take responsibility
• Very good English skills in both written and spoken form
