About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide initial assessment and direct care for on-the-job injuries and illnesses
- Manage medical case records and documentation within EMR/Gensuite systems
- Coordinate follow-up treatment and support the employee return-to-work process
- Perform health screenings, including pulmonary function, audiometric, and vision testing
- Conduct workplace assessments regarding health issues and exposure follow-up
- Implement health promotion strategies and site-specific wellness programs
- Coordinate training and medical response drills for First Aid Responders (CPR/AED)
- Maintain strict confidentiality of employee health information and records
- Collaborate with EHS, HR, and management to maintain a safe work environment
Requirements
- Associate's or Baccalaureate degree in nursing
- Current unencumbered RN license
- 3+ years of nursing experience
- AED/CPR Healthcare provider certification
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and workers' compensation
- Basic computer skills including MS Teams, Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to make independent nursing judgments and prioritize workload
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in occupational health nursing (COHN, COHN-S) or other specialty (CEN, CCRN)
- 5+ years of nursing experience
- Experience in occupational health, community health, ambulatory care, or emergency nursing
- Experience with drug and alcohol specimen collection or hearing conservation (CAOHC)
