Occupational Health Nurse

Responsibilities

• Provide initial assessment and direct care for on-the-job injuries and illnesses
• Manage medical case records and documentation within EMR/Gensuite systems
• Coordinate follow-up treatment and support the employee return-to-work process
• Perform health screenings, including pulmonary function, audiometric, and vision testing
• Conduct workplace assessments regarding health issues and exposure follow-up
• Implement health promotion strategies and site-specific wellness programs
• Coordinate training and medical response drills for First Aid Responders (CPR/AED)
• Maintain strict confidentiality of employee health information and records
• Collaborate with EHS, HR, and management to maintain a safe work environment

Requirements

• Associate's or Baccalaureate degree in nursing
• Current unencumbered RN license
• 3+ years of nursing experience
• AED/CPR Healthcare provider certification
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and workers' compensation
• Basic computer skills including MS Teams, Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Ability to make independent nursing judgments and prioritize workload

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification in occupational health nursing (COHN, COHN-S) or other specialty (CEN, CCRN)
• 5+ years of nursing experience
• Experience in occupational health, community health, ambulatory care, or emergency nursing
• Experience with drug and alcohol specimen collection or hearing conservation (CAOHC)
