Occupational Health and Safety Specialist

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct health and safety audits to ensure company and OSHA compliance
• Support production operations through the identification and mitigation of workplace risks
• Manage assigned safety programs including fall protection, powered industrial trucks, and personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Develop, coordinate, and deliver safety and health training to site personnel
• Prepare comprehensive technical reports, analyses, and presentations for leadership
• Participate in incident investigations, inspections, and corrective action tracking
• Evaluate the impact of emerging regulations and legislation on company operations

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher
• 1+ year of experience in Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS)
• Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
• Proficiency in hazard recognition, evaluation, and control
• Strong technical report writing and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and collaborate on cross-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications

• 3 or more years of related work experience
• Associate Safety Professional (ASP) or Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification
• 3+ years of industrial safety experience
• Experience codifying regulatory requirements into written procedures
• Experience working in aerospace or MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul) environments
• Experience with aircraft operations
