Occupational Health and Safety Specialist (Associate)

Responsibilities

• Support the planning, implementation, and assessment of occupational health and safety programs and processes
• Draft health and safety programs to provide consistent approaches to risk reduction and compliance
• Investigate safety and health incidents and complaints
• Collect, analyze, and present data to improve serious injury prevention and exposure reduction
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across the 787 program and EHS department
• Support stakeholder adherence to company and regulatory safety and health requirements
• Maintain knowledge of emerging issues, regulations, and legislation related to company operations

Requirements

• 1+ years of experience performing Occupational Safety duties in an industrial environment
• 1+ years of experience working in Environmental Health and Safety (EHS)
• 1+ years of experience performing health and safety risk assessments, developing safety programs, and performing audits
• Experience developing and implementing process improvements

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher
• Experience addressing occupational health and safety hazards related to aircraft flight, ground operations, or manufacturing processes
• Experience with workplace safety and Industrial Hygiene
• Experience working with environmental teams
• Experience with hazardous energy control programs
