Occupational Health and Safety Manager

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with employees and supervisors to identify and correct potential safety and health hazards.
• Support line managers in achieving zero incident and zero harm goals through safety inspections and standard work practices.
• Lead incident investigations and facilitate root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
• Perform industrial hygiene monitoring and ensure compliance with local safety regulations and company policies.
• Provide training to employees on safety requirements and regulatory compliance.
• Manage third-party contractor safety approvals through platforms such as ISNetworld, PICS, and ComplyWorks.
• Assist with Management of Change (MOC) processes and support hazardous work situations.

Requirements

• 5 to 10 years of hands-on experience in industrial occupational health and safety.
• Certification as a Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) or a Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH).
• Strong knowledge of Canadian OHS Regulations and related standards.
• Proficiency in Microsoft software applications and training materials software.
• Proven project management and leadership skills.
• Excellent training and presentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bilingualism in English and French (written and spoken) is considered a valuable asset.
