Occupational Health and Safety Intern

Responsibilities

• Support the identification of risks and hazards in daily plant operations
• Collaborate on the creation of accident prevention campaigns
• Participate in the control and management of environmental processes
• Conduct safety inspections within the plant and verify correct use of PPE
• Perform field supervision of Occupational Health and Safety (SST) activities
• Assist in the inspection of high-risk tasks, including work at heights, hot work, confined spaces, and LOTO (Lockout/Tagout)
• Help develop, update, and prepare Safe Work Analysis (ATS) and operational instructions

Requirements

• Active student (Bachelor's or Licentiate) in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Management, Industrial Engineering (with SST focus), or related fields
• Must provide an official letter of active student status from your institution
• Must possess an INS student insurance policy
• Must provide a copy of your CCSS insurance card (or certification of insured status)
• Must reside in Guápiles or surrounding areas with easy access to the plant via public transportation
