Oula is redesigning maternity care from the ground up. Our modern maternity centers combine the best of obstetrics and midwifery care to deliver a more evidence-based and personalized pregnancy experience. Oula operates three markets in the U.S. in partnership with local health systems and has delivered over 3000+ to date.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct antepartum and gynecological care, including scheduled procedures such as cesarean births
• Provide clinical consultation for Oula midwives through in-office and virtual collaboration
• Manage patient follow-ups, care plans, lab results, and escalated messages
• Act as the collaborating provider of record for midwives, nurses, sonographers, and medical assistants
• Partner with the Lead Midwife to facilitate quality care and participate in didactic meetings
• Participate in peer review chart audits and incident reporting RCAs

Requirements

• MD or DO degree
• Residency in obstetrics / gynecology
• Licensed to practice medicine in North Carolina
• Experience with telemedicine or virtual care
• Strong reputation for exceptional patient care and bedside manner

• Passion for improving maternity care through patient empowerment and education
• Enthusiasm for patient-centered collaborative care models leveraging midwives
• Interest in how technology can transform the pregnancy experience
