Obstetric Sonographer

Responsibilities

• Provide imaging, interventional, and ultrasound services within the breast screening unit
• Report breast images and localize breast lesions
• Lead assessment clinics and multi-disciplinary meetings
• Undertake ultrasound lists and provide imaging and biopsy/FNA for symptomatic clinics
• Provide leadership and function as a consultant to other practitioners
• Engage in clinical supervision activities
• Support research and development, audit, and coordination within the department

Requirements

• Relevant qualification in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or equivalent
• Experience with abdomen and pelvic scans
• Proficiency in ultrasound machines and associated software
• HCPC registration
• Minimum 1 year UK experience as a sonographer in NHS and private sectors
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
