Obstetric Sonographer

Responsibilities

• Conduct ultrasound scans on expectant mothers ensuring accurate imaging and diagnosis
• Perform routine and complex obstetric scans including anomaly, dating, growth, and viability scans
• Work closely with obstetricians, midwives, and other healthcare professionals
• Maintain high standards of clinical practice and ensure accurate documentation and reporting
• Provide support and guidance to patients throughout the scanning process

Requirements

• HCPC or equivalent registration
• Postgraduate qualification in Medical Ultrasound
• Minimum 2 years of experience in obstetric ultrasound
• Competency in performing anomaly, dating, growth, and viability scans
• Strong knowledge of fetal development and obstetric ultrasound protocols
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
