About the role

Responsibilities

  • Support Service Obsolescence Management activities across Central and Regional roles
  • Develop and maintain tools and systems, including TOMSYS and SharePoint
  • Facilitate the development of obsolescence management plans with Product Platforms and Projects
  • Request and validate product structures and Bills of Material (BOM) for monitoring
  • Determine obsolescence monitoring strategies for various products and projects
  • Review incoming obsolescence alerts and identify necessary corrective actions
  • Prepare periodic project obsolescence reports and performance indicators
  • Collaborate with Sourcing and Supply Chain to develop supplier obsolescence capabilities

Requirements

  • University degree or equivalent
  • Knowledge of rail vehicles and sub-systems
  • Proficiency in Information Systems, including ERP and Product Data Management
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Fluency in both English and French

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with electronic system design and industrialization, preferably in the rail industry
  • 3 years of experience in a technical role within the rail or a similar industry
  • Knowledge of MS Access, Visio, or SAP
  • Additional language skills in German, Italian, or Spanish
  • Experience in technology watch and obsolescence management processes
