OB/GYN Sonographer

Responsibilities

• Perform procedures according to established protocol to obtain diagnostic information
• Prepare and maintain ultrasound equipment and exam room
• Review patient medical charts prior to appointments
• Communicate abnormalities or concerns with the care team
• Provide information to patients regarding ultrasound procedures
• Review images for clarity before physician review
• Soothe and reassure nervous or anxious patients

Requirements

• Associate or bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology or Diagnostic Medical Sonography from CAAHEP accredited school
• Current ARDMS certification with OB/GYN specialty
• Basic understanding of human anatomy and functions
• Strong communication skills with patients and care teams
• High attention to detail and accountability

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous OB/GYN ultrasound experience
• 1+ years of experience as a sonographer
