About the role
Responsibilities
- Monitor and treat patients during pregnancy and childbirth, including prenatal advising and postnatal care
- Conduct patient follow-ups to monitor and track conditions
- Counsel patients on safe sex and preventative medicine practices
- Order and analyze necessary tests, screenings, biopsies, and scans
- Direct and supervise medical staff including nurses and physician assistants
- Provide high-quality routine women's health care with a professional demeanor
- Manage patient flow in a busy outpatient clinic
- Render culturally competent care to a diverse patient population
Requirements
- Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.)
- Valid state medical license
- Board certification
- Proficiency in patient charting and medical computer programs
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of practicing medicine in hospital or private practice
