About the role
Responsibilities
- Monitor and treat patients during pregnancy and childbirth, including prenatal advising and postnatal care
- Conduct follow-ups to monitor and track patient conditions
- Counsel patients on safe sex and preventative medicine practices
- Order and analyze necessary tests, screenings, biopsies, and scans for diagnosis
- Direct and supervise medical staff including nurses and physician assistants
- Provide high-quality routine women's health care with a compassionate bedside manner
- Manage patient flow in a busy outpatient clinic environment
- Render culturally competent care to a diverse patient population
Requirements
- Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.)
- Valid state license to practice
- Board certification
- Proficiency in patient charting and relevant computer programs
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience practicing medicine in a hospital or private practice
