Responsibilities

• Monitor and treat patients during pregnancy and childbirth, including prenatal advising and postnatal care
• Conduct follow-ups to monitor and track patient conditions
• Counsel patients on safe sex practices and preventative medicine
• Order and analyze necessary tests, screenings, biopsies, and scans for diagnosis
• Direct, advise, and supervise medical staff including nurses and physician assistants
• Ensure adequate patient flow in a busy outpatient clinic
• Provide culturally competent care to a diverse patient population

Requirements

• Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.)
• Valid license to practice and board certification in the state
• Proficiency in patient charting and relevant computer programs

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years practicing medicine in hospital or private practice
