NVH/CAE Engineer

Responsibilities

• Perform NVH CAE analysis of full vehicles, subsystems, and components
• Build trimmed body and suspension FEA models for simulation
• Conduct normal modes, frequency response, and transient analyses
• Benchmark competitive powertrains and drivelines to define engineering specifications
• Lead NVH component supply chain definition, design, and validation
• Establish NVH Lab and vehicle field testing protocols
• Develop and execute tests for analytic model verification against real-world results
• Provide input for component specification and DFMEA

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Structural, Mechanical, Civil, or Aerospace Engineering from an ABET accredited University
• 3-7 years of experience in NVH and CAE for HEV, PHEV, or EV
• Strong knowledge of Vibration Theory and Finite Element Methods
• Proficiency with NASTRAN, Hypermesh, ANSA, and Excel
• Excellent root cause and problem-solving skills in automotive NVH

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with LMS Test Lab and Head Acoustics Artemis
• Proficiency in automotive components and vehicle systems
• Prior expertise using CAE tools to resolve vehicle NVH issues
