About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform NVH CAE analysis of full vehicles, subsystems, and components
- Build trimmed body and suspension FEA models for simulation
- Conduct normal modes, frequency response, and transient analyses
- Benchmark competitive powertrains and drivelines to define engineering specifications
- Lead NVH component supply chain definition, design, and validation
- Establish NVH Lab and vehicle field testing protocols
- Develop and execute tests for analytic model verification against real-world results
- Provide input for component specification and DFMEA
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Structural, Mechanical, Civil, or Aerospace Engineering from an ABET accredited University
- 3-7 years of experience in NVH and CAE for HEV, PHEV, or EV
- Strong knowledge of Vibration Theory and Finite Element Methods
- Proficiency with NASTRAN, Hypermesh, ANSA, and Excel
- Excellent root cause and problem-solving skills in automotive NVH
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with LMS Test Lab and Head Acoustics Artemis
- Proficiency in automotive components and vehicle systems
- Prior expertise using CAE tools to resolve vehicle NVH issues
