About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide nutrition education, assessment, and counseling to WIC, CSFP, and SFMNP participants.
- Determine participant eligibility in accordance with Agency, State, and Federal guidelines.
- Formulate and implement nutrition care plans using participant-centered education frameworks.
- Conduct intake procedures, including anthropometrics and blood work, for high-risk participants.
- Develop and implement nutrition education demonstrations, exhibits, and outreach materials.
- Assist with the design, implementation, and evaluation of annual program nutrition objectives.
- Refer participants to appropriate health and social service resources as needed.
- Maintain accurate documentation and program data within the StarLINC computer system.
- Support clinic operations by assisting with setup, voucher distribution, and clerical duties.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Food and Nutrition Science, Home Economics, or a related field.
- Two years of experience in community nutrition or a health services environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively with individuals from diverse economic, cultural, and educational backgrounds.
- Proficiency in using office equipment, software applications, and computer programs.
- Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation for required travel.
- Successful completion of a criminal background check.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's Degree in a related field.
- Current licensure as a Registered Dietician from the American Dietetic Association and the state of New Hampshire.
