Nutritionist II

Responsibilities

• Provide nutrition education, assessment, and counseling to WIC, CSFP, and SFMNP participants.
• Determine participant eligibility in accordance with Agency, State, and Federal guidelines.
• Formulate and implement nutrition care plans using participant-centered education frameworks.
• Conduct intake procedures, including anthropometrics and blood work, for high-risk participants.
• Develop and implement nutrition education demonstrations, exhibits, and outreach materials.
• Assist with the design, implementation, and evaluation of annual program nutrition objectives.
• Refer participants to appropriate health and social service resources as needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation and program data within the StarLINC computer system.
• Support clinic operations by assisting with setup, voucher distribution, and clerical duties.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Food and Nutrition Science, Home Economics, or a related field.
• Two years of experience in community nutrition or a health services environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively with individuals from diverse economic, cultural, and educational backgrounds.
• Proficiency in using office equipment, software applications, and computer programs.
• Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation for required travel.
• Successful completion of a criminal background check.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's Degree in a related field.
• Current licensure as a Registered Dietician from the American Dietetic Association and the state of New Hampshire.
