Nutrition Aide

Responsibilities

• Preparing and stocking the Nutrition Centre with required items for patient meals
• Preparing tray add-ons, meal changes and special tube feeding
• Delivering food trays and snacks to patients
• Collecting empty trays from patient rooms
• Transporting dirty food trucks to the basement
• Performing cross-functional duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Food Handler’s Certificate
• 3 to 6 months of practical related experience
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 5 kg and pushing heavy food trucks
• Basic mathematical and reading comprehension skills
• Ability to work rotating shifts, including weekends and statutory holidays

Preferred Qualifications

• Food service worker program completion
