Nutanix AHV Virtualization Engineer

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design and implementation of Nutanix AHV clusters
• Participate in migration strategies from existing virtualization platforms to AHV
• Prepare and validate infrastructure prerequisites including network, storage, and hardware
• Manage Prism Element and Prism Central and perform lifecycle management (LCM)
• Handle VM lifecycle including snapshots, backup integration, and performance tuning
• Configure Nutanix storage (AOS, containers) and implement replication/backup strategies
• Develop automation workflows using Ansible, REST API, and scripting
• Integrate with enterprise observability tools for monitoring and troubleshooting
• Apply security best practices and CISO policies to ensure compliance

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in virtualization and infrastructure engineering
• Proven hands-on experience with Nutanix AHV
• Strong expertise in Nutanix ecosystem (AOS, Prism Element, Prism Central, LCM)
• Experience with automation tools such as Ansible, scripting, and REST APIs
• Solid understanding of virtualization concepts (compute, storage, networking)
• Understanding of high-availability and disaster recovery principles
• Fluency in English and French

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with VMware vSphere (ESXi, vCenter, cluster operations)
• Experience in platform lifecycle operations including patching, upgrades, and certificate renewal
